S.O.D. "Only Time Will Tell" by Asia

8/17/2015     The original Asia lineup brought four amazing musicians together.  From Yes, guitarist Steve Howe and keyboardist Geoff Downes.  Formerly of Uriah Heep and King Crimson, bassist/vocalist John Wetton, and drummer Carl Palmer of Emerson, Lake and Palmer completes the progressive British group.  They got off to a great start with their debut self-titled album ranking #1 in several countries.  This 1982 release was written by Downes and Wetton and was the band's 2nd Top 10 success, charting in Germany, Canada, the US and the UK.  

     Together at first from 1981-1986, they took a three-year break and regrouped in 1989 going through many musicians, 22 in all, and are still active with Palmer, Wetton & Downes finally taking over and adding Steve Coulson on lead guitar who is an average of 30 years younger then his bandmates and was discovered on YouTube by heavy metal guitarist and cofounder of Mr. Big, Paul Gilbert.
