S.O.D. "Survival" by Muse

8/16/2016     Here is a song about the Olympics.  There are many of these of course, but let's go with the most obscure one we could possibly find.  A 2012 release using the genres of symphonic rock/new prog, it was named the official song for the 2012 London Olympic Games.  Composed by the group's lead vocalist and multi instrumentalist Matt Bellamy after being asked by the Olympics staff to write such a song.

Receiving mixed reviews by critics, the SOD staff describes it as an artful journey of audio stimulation that grips you throughout.  Muse, out of Teignmouth, England has been active since 1994.  They have released 7 studio albums, 32 singles, and 40 music videos.  Fifteen  music awards are to their credit including two Grammies.  Of the six genres they use, one of them is space rock.  Those were the days!!!!
