S.O.D. "Zombie" by The Cranberries

2/19/2015:     A song protesting the 1993 bombings by the Irish Provisional Republican Army in Warrington, England.  There were two bombings of which the first only did property damage but the second killed two boys and wounded several others.  

     The worldwide hit was written by lead vocalist Dolores O'Riordan.  It took home Best Song of the Year at the 1995 MTV Europe Music Awards and charted in 17 countries, landing at #1 in six countries and #2 in six.  Comments by critics praise the song mainly of its uniqueness. On Saturday Night Live in 1995 the group performed the tune which was one of the most powerful performances on SNL to date.
