S.O.D. "Sweet and Dandy" by Toots & The Maytals

10/3/2020  Here we have the founder of reggae music, Frederick Nathaniel “Toots” Hibbert, who just left us on 9/11/20.  He even coined the term Reggae with his 1968 song “Do the Reggay.”  Active for six decades, he could play every instrument within his band, and helped to establish the fundamentals of reggae.  Rolling Stone Magazine ranked Hibbert at #71 on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.  The word Maytal comes from a Rastafarian reference meaning “Do The Right Thing.”
