S.O.D. "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears

10/28/2020 This 1985 new wave/synth-pop tune charted extremely well internationally, making an appearance in 14 countries, totaling 21 charts with 8 #1 slots.  I imagine it would’ve charted in many more countries if the world had been used to new wave at that point. The song’s meaning has to do with the human desire for control and power, so we should be hearing it quite often.
