S.O.D. "Smalltown Boy" by Bronski Beat
11/5/2017 In 1984 this British synthpop group released the song as their debut single. It mainly addresses societal and familial rejection of homosexuality. Along with that usually comes loneliness and bullying which the tune also takes a stand for. The song charted well in 13 countries and even made some year-end appearances. These guys were active from 1983–95 and reformed again in 2016 with Steve Bronski being the only returning member.
