S.O.D. "Rooster" by Alice In Chains

11/6/2017     Guitarist and primary songwriter for the group, Jerry Cantrell, wrote this 1994 alternative metal/grunge hit in honor of his father Jerry Cantrell Sr.  In Vietnam he went by the nickname “Rooster” as well as most of his life due to his hair sticking up like a rooster’s.  Cantrell said of the song that it helped him and his father start the healing process from all the damage that Vietnam did.
