S.O.D. "Ramblin Boy" by Tom Paxton
1/10/2017 At 79 this man is still going with a 54 year career under his guitar strap. His tunes have been covered by right around 100 artists. 61 studio albums are to his credit, and more than 100 other works not including singles. Watching Woody Guthrie perform in 1955 set him on his way.
Maybe the most influential record producer ever, Milt Okun, made Paxton the first songwriter signed to his very successful Cherry Lane Music Publishing in 1960. His accolades are plentiful and in 2002 he was bestowed with the ASCAP Lifetime Achievement Award in Folk Music. His 61st album was released in March of 2015 entitled "Redemption Road." In 2017 he will tour the UK.
