S.O.D. "Singing the Blues" by Guy Mitchell
9/3/2016 A #1 single for 10 weeks by Mitchell on the Billboard charts and then again for 13 weeks on the C&W Best Sellers chart with a version from Marty Robbins which was the first ever recorded. The 1956 release is written by songwriter Melvin Endsley of which this song is considered his best. 16 versions of the tune have been recorded including by Bill Haley and his Comets, Marie Osmond, and the Kentucky Headhunters. Tis quite catchy.
