S.O.D. "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers
9/2/2015 From the album of the same name, this 1982 hard rock release is used in many branches of public media. Its use in films are many including Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a handful of TV shows appearing quite a few times on Married.... with Children, numerous commercials, the introduction and walk-on music for many athletes and some video games.
Not very well known upon its debut, MTV heightened the song's popularity with generous airplay for the music video. It features a game of pool between Thorogood and Bo Diddley with Thorogood smoking a big cigar. With the eight ball on the edge of the pocket he flicks a huge cigar ash on the floor making it drop and winning the game.
There is a claim by James Pobiega, a Chicago musician who believes Thorogood stole the song from him. The tune was written by Thorogood, and is similar to the structure of many other songs including Bo Diddley's "I'm a Man". He has been active since 1974, releasing 20 albums and selling 15 million worldwide.
