S.O.D. "Let's Stick Together/Let's Work Together by Wilbert Harrison

8/9/2016     Many versions of this 1962 blues composition were recorded with the most notable by Canned Heat in 1970 and Bryan Ferry in 1976.  Harrison's 1962 release as "Let's Stick Together," failed to chart.  He came back in 1969 with "Let's Work Together" which rose to #32 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970.   Before this he charted at #1 in 1959 with Kansas City, also recorded by many artists.  

     Harrison passed on to Music Heaven in 1994 and was proficient on piano, guitar, harmonica and vocals. His version of Kansas City was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and included on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's list of the 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
