S.O.D. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something

8/9/2015     This alternative rock/post grunge band is classified as a one-hit-wonder due to this tune.  It charted in 14 countries and on 18 charts, ranking #1 in the UK.  The song has to do with a man trying to hold his relationship together with his girlfriend and although they have little in common, they both "kinda liked" the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's.  The lyrics are inspired by the film Roman Holiday.

     VH1 and Blender ranked  it #6 on their list of the 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever.  Todd Pipes, band member and the songs lyricist and composer said in an interview with Q magazine that while promoting the song, radio stations wanted the band to play early in the morning since the title of the tune contained the word breakfast.
