S.O.D. "Alive and Kicking" by Simple Minds

8/5/2015     This Scottish rock group gained popularity and commercial success in the early 80s.  Despite many lineup changes, the band continued to record and tour during that era and are internationally known for their 1985 hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)" from the soundtrack of "The Breakfast Club," John Hughes director.  "Alive and Kicking", also released in 1985 was written by the entire band and went to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks and charted in 13 other countries taking the #1 spot in Italy and Belgium.  The music video was filmed in the Catskill Mountains in New York State.
