S.O.D. "The Real Slim Shady" by Eminem

6/25/2016     Talk about throwing your fellow performers under the bus.  Eminem does it in style, taking home a few awards including a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance.  He also accomplished his first #1 hit in the UK.  On the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 the song topped out at #4.

The music video, also receiving an award, shows the rap artist in several different places including a psych ward, a factory and a fast food place.  Some of the celebrities he puts down in the video, appear as look-alikes including Tommy Lee, Carson Daly, Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson.  Comedian Kathy Griffin appears as herself.

Marshall Mathers III (Eminem's real name) had a little help me with the writing from rapper Andre Young (Dr Dre), and musicians/producers Tommy Coster and Mike Elizondo.  It was not a planned track for the album and was written just hours before the albums final copy, becoming the first single released from the LP.
