S.O.D. "Tear In My Heart" by Twenty One Pilots

6/23/2015     Just a duo here that have made incredible progress in a short time emerging in 2009 and already being nominated for six awards.   Classifying there genre has been difficult for fans, critics and musicians alike with the label so far being an unofficial sub genre of pop called "Schizophrenic pop" also known as schizoid pop.  Their music is poetry based and many songs contain allusions to Christian theology.  With this being true and the fact that all members past and present are Christians, the band is not considered a Christian band.

This is the most recent S.O.D., being released in April 2015.  It went to #4 on the Billboard Rock Digital Songs and Billboards Alternative Songs.  Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun make up the group that consists of piano, keyboards, accordion, synthesizer, drums and an occasional ukulele. They took their name from the play "All My Sons" by Arthur Miller about a man trying to decide what's best for his family after he knowingly causes the death of 21 pilots in World War II by sending them faulty engine parts for the good of his business.

Tyler Joseph comments that the logo for the band is an encouragement for people to create and that their music is made to make people think and find joy in what they come to believe in life.
