S.O.D. "Don't Dream It's Over" by Crowded House
6/21/2016 Along with the hit "Something So Strong", this rock/alternative rock/new wave Australian group gained international success early in their career. They have won 20 awards altogether with 30 nominations and in 1994 were named International Group of the Year at the Brit Awards.
They started out in 1985 in Melbourne, Australia and went by the name Split-Enzs. They soon changed their name to the Mullanes and then Crowded House. The name was inspired by their LA apartment and the fact that there was always too many people there.
' The tune was written by bandmember, lead vocalist and multi instrumentalist Neil Finn and was ranked the 7th Best Australian Song of All Time and in New Zealand, the 2nd best. This ranking was conducted by (APRA) Australasian Performing Rights Association. They were active from 1985–1996, and again from 2006–2011.
