S.O.D. "To See You" by Harry Connick Jr.
6/11/2015 From the 1997 album of the same name, this is one of 10 songs on the album that were all written and orchestrated by Connick himself. He explains in an interview that the inspiration for the album came from a flight attendant. She asked him what romantic songs he had done and he thought that it was probably time to do a romantically themed album.
New Orleans is where he originated and has been active since 1977. The Recording Industry Association of America has ranked him in the top 60 best selling male artists in the U.S. with 16 million in certified sales. Worldwide he has sold more than 28 million records. In his career he has charted with many records including 10 #1 jazz albums, earning him more 1# albums than any other artist in U.S. jazz chart history.
Being a native of New Orleans, he's done many things for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina including touring the area for days after the hurricane to bring attention to the aftermath and the people stranded. He helped organize and appeared in the NBC televised concert for relief and has been named honorary chair of Habitat for Humanity's "Operation Home Delivery" which is a long-term rebuilding program for victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast. Connick is also an accomplished actor.
