S.O.D. "Black Knight" by Frank Sinatra Jr.
4/15/2015: Two tributes in a row. He pretty much followed in his father's footsteps but also made sure that Frank Sr. kept his relationship and connection with the audience, which helped him maintain his vitality. Frank Jr, like his father, made many TV and movie appearances. He was known for having a natural way about him when performing, putting tremendous feeling into his songs, not to mention a superb knowledge of the business.
He was born in 1944 in New Jersey and at age 19 he was kidnapped in Lake Tahoe upon which his father paid $240,000 ransom for his release. The three men were brought to justice shortly thereafter. Between 1965 and 2006 he released seven studio albums. Many songs are to this credit for composing, which other artists were also successful with. "Black Knight" was one of those songs, and as you can see in the video, he was very young.
He said of his career, "a famous father means that in order to prove yourself, you have to work three times harder than the guy off the street." He passed on to Music Heaven on March 16.
