S.O.D. "Calling All Angels" by Train

4/15/2015     From the 2003 Platinum certified album "My Private Nation" comes this inspiring catchy number that quickly gained popularity in public media.  It appeared in several television shows and was the Angels major league baseball team's theme song being played in the 2010 season before every game.  Train performed it live that year at Angels Stadium before the home run derby of the All-Star game.  On the US music charts it ranked on 5 different ones, coming in at #1 on the Adult Top 40 and Adult Contemporary.  

     Train originated in San Francisco in 1993 and are still active today. Their 2nd studio album, "Drops of Jupiter" which this song is from, remains their most successful work, going double platinum in the U.S. and Canada. The hit single from the album "(Tell Me)," won 2 Grammys in 2002.  Worldwide they have sold over 10 million albums and 30 million tracks.
