S.O.D. "More More More" by Andrea True Connection

4/27/2015     Aside from becoming one of the most popular disco songs of that era, this 1976 release charted in eight different countries with immense popularity.  On the end of the year charts it came in at #17 in the US and #23 in Canada.  The tune was written by pianist, drummer, songwriter and producer Gregg Diamond who left us early at age 49.  He actually went to Jamaica where due to a political crisis, True and many others were being prevented from leaving with their wages.  At the time, True was there to star in some commercials.  Diamond recorded and performed the song with her in Jamaica.  

     She had a few decent hits in her time and at one point was assigned a cast of session musicians including future Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick to complete her three albums.  Andrea left us in 2011 when she passed in a hospital near her home in Woodstock, New York. She was also well known for creating gourmet meals for her friends and family.
