S.O.D. "Dyslexic Heart" by Paul Westerberg
4/22/2016 This 1992 release is from the soundtrack of "Singles," directed by Cameron Crowe, and was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award in the category for Best Video from a Film. Westerberg actually composed and performed the entire score for the movie. Before this, Westerberg was the driving force for the alternative rock/punk rock band, The Replacements. This group, active from 1979-1991, was a major influence for many artists that followed in their genre path and are considered one of the pioneers of alternative rock. This tune and a few others were done before he really started his solo career.
Partway through his solo career, he disappeared for three years and made a comeback in 2002 with new material of which some albums were listed under his alter ego, Grandpaboy. Westerberg is skilled on guitar, bass, drums and piano. You never know what's going to happen in the world of music as one day he was a janitor for a congressman and the next, in a band that would soon prove to be successful.
