S.O.D. "Ring Me Up" by Captain Cocoa

3/15/2016     This is an Australian group brought together by David and Glenn O'Neil.  They are twin brothers who were popular in Australia during the 70s and 80s. Do you know any of their influences?  Bands such as Haircut 100, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Mental as Anything and a few more.  

     Some of their hits include "Goodbye Louise," "Bicycle Thieves," "Flowers" and "Butterflies."  They split up in the 80s and David O'Neil is now a popular comedian.  This tune came in at #84 on a list of 100 obscure songs in the jangly pop genre.
