S.O.D. "CherChez La Femme" by Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band
2/16/2016 A fabulous big band piece released in 1976 as a single with the genres of soul, big band, disco and pop. The song's full title is "Whispering"/"Cherchez La Femme"/"Se Si Bon". It climbed to #1 on the disco charts and stayed there for a week. The tune also placed on the pop, R&B and Adult Contemporary charts. It remains the band's biggest hit and most well known song.
Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band was formed in 1974 in the Bronx, New York by half-brothers Stony Browder and Thomas Browder. Gloria Estefan released a popular version of the song in 1995 on her album "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me". There is a decent music video on You Tube of Estefan singing the song in Spanish. Cherchez la femme in English means "look for or seek the woman".
