S.O.D. "Hadie Brown (My Little Lady) by Roy Rogers

11/17/20     1911-1998, Active in music from 1932–1991 with his acting career beginning in 1935 and reaching to 1984.  Birth name, Leonard Franklin Slye.  He is the only musician to date to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame twice.  He has been bestowed with many awards including three stars on the Hollywood walk of fame. One for Movies, one for television and one for radio.  

     Rogers starred in more than 100 films of which many starred his 3rd and final wife, Dale Evans.  For ten years in a row he was voted most popular western star.   When their family lived in Lucasville, Ohio on a farm in 1919, they would invite the neighbors over for square dances and nine-year-old Len Slye would play mandolin, sing and yodel.  He would also call out the square dance steps.
