.S.O.D. "I Could Write a Book" by Harry Connick Jr.

10/25/2016     Composed by Rodgers and Hart who were a successful songwriting team mostly for Broadway between 1919-1943.  Together they composed more than 500 songs for 28 musicals.  This tune has seen its share of stage and film including the 1989 film "When Harry Met Sally" starring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.  Harry Connick Jr. performed this version.  

     It was published in 1944 the stage musical "Pal Joey" and first performed by Gene Kelly and Leila Ernst.  This song has been covered by numerous artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra.
