S.O.D. "Camera Shy" by The Lucksmiths

10/1/2016     Another group that has come and gone. Active from 1993-2009, they stuck with indie pop, coming out of Melbourne Australia.  They also stuck with the same four members for their entire tenure. The group released eight studio albums, four compilation albums and five extended play albums.  Oddly enough, they released no singles and were known for their witty lyrics being described by The Canberra Times as "literate, gloriously melodic pop" and by Hobart Mercury as "fiercely independent and refreshingly unique."    Some of their influences are The Go-Betweens, The Trash Can Sinatras, Belle and Sebastian, and The Simpletons.
