1/11/2015     Shakin' the peaches and trees sounds good to me.  Throw in a lovey dovey, a wolf whistle, toking and pompatus and there's no mistake what you have. The 1973 rock/blues rock release hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as ranking #1 in 4 other countries.  In 1990 the tune broke a record after it charted at #1 in the UK, resulting from its use in a frequently run Levis commercial.  This made it the song with the longest time period between #1 rankings across the Atlantic.  

     The Steve Miller Band started out in San Francisco in 1966, that's right, 50 years of rocking.  In 2015, Steve Miller by himself was inducted into the Roc and Roll Hall of Fame.  More about Steve Miller Band in the future.
