S.O.D. "I Got Your Number" by Jack Jones

1/29/2016     Chances are you have heard some Jack Jones  over the years without really knowing it was Jack Jones. Ever watch the "Love Boat?"  That's him singing the theme.  He was also a performer on many variety and talk shows including Jerry Lewis, Judy Garland show, Dick Cavett, Dean Martin and Playboy After Dark.  He costarred in some regular series as well such as McMillan and Wife, the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew mysteries, and Night Court. 

     He was born John Allan Jones in 1938 to actor parents and had his first professional experience with his father Alan Jones in Las Vegas. He has made more than 50 albums and just over 40 singles with his most popular tunes being "Wives and Lovers," "Call Me Irresponsible," "The Impossible Dream" and a few others. Jones is a singer and actor.  Here's a fact for you, he has been married six times and is still alive.  The tune was featured on the soundtrack of "American Hustle."
