S.O.D. "I'm Eighteen" by Alice Cooper
1/13/2015 Vince Furnier, for anyone who didn't know or forgot, is Alice Cooper's real name. The group has had a few reunions but officially called it quits in 1975 after achieving tremendous success during their 11 year run. Cooper went on as a solo artist with an entire different group of musicians.
Included on "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" list at #482 by Rolling Stone, this 1970 hard rock song left a strong impression on rock, and other genres. The character in the tune is 18 but not quite an adult, as most of us understand. Cooper put it in perspective saying, "You're old enough to be drafted but not old enough to vote." It is considered to be the group's breakthrough song.
Cooper is 67 y/o and still rocking.
