S.O.D. "Only A NorthernSong" by George Harrison

11/29/2014      Described as George Harrison's personal denunciation of the Beatles' music publishing business,  this 1969 psychedelic and experimental rock tune was featured on the "Yellow Submarine" album and in the movie. It was written by Harrison who describes it as a joke referring to Northern Songs LTD, the publishing company. Lennon and McCartney owned 15% a piece of the public company's shares, where Harrison only owned 0.8%.    Some of the lyrics paint the picture: "It doesn't really matter what chords are play/What words I say or time of day it is/As it's only a Northern Song".     ENJOY!!!!!
