S.O.D. "The Big, Bright, Green Pleasure Machine" by Simon & Garfunkel
2/1/2024 This 1966 folk rock tune is a satirical jab at certain pop culture during the era. It mainly revolves around Madison Avenue’s advertising in New York City. The song also has to do with some of Simon‘s personal unanswered questions. Simon apparently wrote the song in London while doing laundry. Between The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Simon & Garfunkel, there seems to be a song about any subject you can think of.
