7/31/2023 A 1967 R&B/novelty tune that charted very well internationally. It was #1 in seven out of 18 countries. John Fred Gourrier is from Louisiana, born in its capital in 1944. He was inducted into 3 halls of fame, mainly in LA., and bestowed with the Living Legend Award from the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. He now resides in the unreachable land of music.

7/30/2023 This power pop/pop punk group out of Boston, MA. was active from 2004 to 2013. They stated on Facebook the reason for the break up was to pursue individual endeavors. The band cites Cheap Trick, Matthew Sweet, and the Talking Heads as their biggest influences.

7/20/2023 A country singer songwriter, and guitarist, who recorded many songs, and was perhaps even better known as a disc jockey. Due to an automobile accident, he left us early in 1973 at age 45. Check out some of his songs, and his story, including a close relationship with Ernest Tubb, most likely his #1 influence.
