Born in Wiscasset, Maine in 1967, she was publicly recognized in the music world at age 19. Playing with a few different groups, some of which she founded, her main stream success came with The Juliana Hatfield Three, a trio she formed In the mid-1990s, which lasted only a few years, and was revisited around 2015. She also has a decent solo career and has done some acting.
