9/20/2021 This crazy country song hit #4 in the US and #8 in Canada. We’re talking country charts. It did however make it to #81 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is also a country line dance. The dance and song stems from the watermelon festival held in the city of Cordele, which is in Crisp County Georgia. When you think of Georgia, you might think peaches. They are known also as the watermelon Capital of the world, actually defeating other towns in Arkansas and Texas in watermelon contests.
