S.O.D. "Walking in Memphis" by Marc Cohn

8/2/2021 The inspiration for this song came from actually visiting the city six years earlier. During this time, Cohn visited places that were meaningful to him, including the church where Al Green, fellow musician and minister preached. He also stopped by Graceland, and a Mississippi night club. In 1992 the song received a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year and Cohn received the Best New Artist award. This man gets deep with many of his compositions.
