The R&B/disco tune was made more popular by The Brothers Johnson in 1977, charting fairly well internationally, and going to #1 on the Billboard R&B Album chart. George (Lightning Licks) Johnson and Louis (Thunder Thumbs) Johnson took on solo projects in 1982 after seven years together. They reunited in 1984, staying together until Louis’s death in 2015.
