So much so that she has been nicknamed Indie Lindi, and her hometown of Toronto holds her in high regard. Ortega operates through her own label, Shadowbox Music, and has released seven albums, 14 music videos, and other works. Her vocals have been described as a blend of Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, and Johnny Cash.
