10/28/2021 This is one serious goth girl. Originally written in 1962 by Shel Silverstein, there have been many cover versions. About a death row inmate in the last 25 minutes of his/her life. The song is normally set to dark humor, but Galas takes it to a more intense level. She also adds some inventive piano licks. This vocalist, keyboardist, composer, and visual artist was born in San Diego in 1966. Diamanda Galas is her real name. She makes for some wild and wonderful reading.
