7/21/2020 Both, former members of the Velvet Underground, their idol was Andy Warhol. Drella, a mix of Dracula and Cinderella, was created by Warhol’s admirers as a nickname. Actually, Warhol was not too fond of this name. The album, “Songs for Drella,” was released in 1990. Cale and Reed are the only instrumentalists and vocalists on the album.
