S.O.D. "Rhythm People" by Steve Coleman & Five Elements

5/27/2020  This musician, composer and band leader became a MacArthur Fellow in 2014.  This is a very high honor for originality, self discipline and dedication.  Check out the list of people that have received this award, first bestowed in 1981, given to many recipients each year.  Coleman‘s main instrument is the saxophone, playing mainly jazz and avant-garde.  He has researched different drumming styles throughout Africa.
