S.O.D. "Honkey Tonk Train Blues" by Meade "Lux" Lewis
4/19/2020 Seems that in the late 30s to late 40s, there was a boogie-woogie craze with a trio of pianists leading the way. Lewis was of course one of them along with Pete Johnson and long life friend Albert Ammons. Lewis and Ammons at a young age, learned together on the Ammons family piano. His nickname, Lux, was acquired during childhood by his friends. He would more or less perform for them, imitating the popular comic strip, Alphonse and Gaston. Lux is short for Duke of Luxembourg. Definitely some music to dance to.
