S.O.D. "Down Yonder" by Del Wood

This lady knows her way around the keys, and began mastering the instrument at age 5. She was born Polly Adelaide Hendricks in 1920 in Nashville Tennessee. Surrounded by the country music influence, she adapted quickly and was performing at local honky-tonks by age 20. Her real dream came in her 30s, performing at the Grand Ole Opry.
Seems that she always had new material to put out. Along the course of her career, she was dubbed Queen of the Ragtime Pianists. In 1968 Wood traveled with members of the Opry to entertain troops in Vietnam.
