S.O.D. "Iron Horse" by John Barry

10/31/2020 This great man and composer left us in 2011 after more than a half century of wonderful sound. He composed music mainly for films, including the original Bond theme, and the Bond film soundtracks from 1963-1987. Many other film scores are to his credit including “The Cotton Club,” “Out of Africa,” and “Dances With Wolves. His awards total 18 from 32 nominations. Regarding films, television scores and musicals, he has composed more than 120. Barry has many other works as well.

He played keyboards, drums, harmonica, and trumpet. So the next time you see a Bond film in that era, and hear the music, you’ll know where it came from. The realization is the music, and the film is just fantasy.
