S.O.D. "Come Softly to Me" by The Fleetwoods

3/25/2019 This 1959 song made it to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was originally titled “Come Softly.” In those days that was too dangerous of a title, and Bob Reisdorf, owner of Dolphin Records had it changed.  The trio, Gretchen Christopher who also composed the song, Barbara Ellis, and Gary Troxel, recorded it in their house using only their vocals and the jingling of car keys.
