S.O.D. "Scrapple From the Apple" by James McKinney

2/27/2019  One of the true masters of the banjo, even tackling the difficult jazz banjo.  At age 15 he won the southern U.S. banjo championship and has since become quite the monster of the instrument.  You might have heard of the great fiddler, Vassar Clements with whom McKinney became true friends with, touring together in the Vassar Clements band for years.  Mckinney’s current project is The Night Travelers with Niki Portmann on bass.  Their first album, “Campfire” is about to be released.
