S.O.D. "Wordy Rappinghood" by Tom Tom Club

2/23/2019  Topping the charts in the U.S. and Belgium, this 1981 funk tune charted in 9 countries and is the lead single from their debut album “Tom Tom Club.” It was written by Tina Weymouth, who is the original founder of The Talking Heads, husband and drummer Chris Frantz, also a producer, and 21 y/o keyboard player at the time, Steven Stanley, who went on to become a producer and audio engineer mainly in Jamaica.  Frantz and Weymouth are still married.  Tom Tom Club is a side project of The Talking Heads.  If the fifth verse sounds strange, it’s because it’s in French.  ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
