S.O.D. "Arrow" by Cheryl Wheeler
2/15/2019 Now residing in Rhode Island, this 67-year-old folk artist was born in Timonium, Maryland. Active for just over 30 years, she has had an interesting career and made her mark in the fight against gun violence. Her song, “If It Were Up to Me,” was written in 1998 shortly after the Jonesboro massacre. The last line of the song, “If it were up to me, I’d take away the guns,” received nationwide attention the next year after the Columbine shooting. Many things make no damn sense. Be good to one another.
