S.O.D. "Surfer's Stomp" by The Marketts

1/25/2019  Formed in Hollywood, California in 1961, this mostly instrumental pop group had a few popular hits including “Out of Limits” which was first named “Outer Limits.” The host of the TV show “Outer Limits,” Rod Serling, threatened to sue.  “Surfer Stomp,” along with many of the  group’s other songs leans toward surf rock.  We certainly need a surf song in the winter.  The main guy behind this group and a few others is Michael Zane Gordon. He wears the hats of producer, musician, composer, and screenwriter.  Go on and check out some of his stuff.
