Well it was more popular in the 90s and this singer/musician/actor/poet/empowerment speaker was rated one of the top 10 performers of the 90s.  She has released nine studio albums. Her biggest single was “No Excuse” in 1997. If you try to make it big the way Lydia did it when she was 16 then you may likely succeed. At that age she moved from Rochester NY to New York City to a communal full of artists and musicians.
