S.O.D. "The Prophet" by Eric Dolphy

9/3/2018       Simply genius musicality from this artist, that we could spend days listening to. His playing was structured but at the same time improvisational.  Saxophonist, clarinetist, flautist and other instruments of any range.  Dolphy was a tremendous influence on many jazz greats to be.  He was taken from us way too early at age 36, but certainly left his mark.  You may want to take a break during this 21 minute stimulating composition.
